Head of Stoke Hockey
Professional PWHL Defender Four-Time Olympic Medallist
Jocelyne Larocque, O.M. is an active professional defender in the PWHL, a four-time Olympic medallist and one of Canada’s most accomplished hockey players.
As co-owner and Head of Stoke Hockey, she leads the vision and development philosophy behind the program, bringing current high-performance experience directly into how Stoke athletes are taught and supported.
Jocelyne has represented Canada internationally since 2008, earning two Olympic gold medals, two Olympic silver medals and 12 IIHF Women’s World Championship medals.
She was selected second overall in the inaugural PWHL Draft and has served in leadership roles with both Team Canada and in professional hockey.
Before beginning her international and professional career, Jocelyne played at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She helped the Bulldogs win two NCAA National Championships, became a two-time First-Team All-American and remains the highest-scoring defender in program history with 105 points.
She was named to the UMD Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
At Stoke Hockey, Joce’s coaching extends far beyond demonstrating technical skills. She helps players understand when and why to use those skills by developing hockey IQ, decision-making, defensive detail, situational awareness and the ability to execute under pressure.
Her approach also emphasizes the less visible parts of development: preparation, consistency, accountability, confidence, leadership and learning how to contribute as a dependable teammate.
Joce works directly with athletes through on-ice instruction, game-IQ development, camps and small-group training. She also guides the wider Stoke Hockey coaching team, helping maintain a clear and consistent development standard across programs.
Her goal is not simply to produce more skilled hockey players. It is to develop intelligent, capable and resilient athletes who understand the game, train with purpose and take ownership of their development.

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner Founder of ARP Osteopathy Performance Coach
Amy Coates is an osteopathic manual practitioner, performance coach and founder of ARP Osteopathy at Stoke.
She combines hands-on osteopathic care with years of strength and conditioning experience to help athletes and active adults move more comfortably, better understand their bodies and train with confidence.
Amy’s approach is shaped by years spent on both sides of performance—as a competitive athlete and as a coach. Rather than looking only at the area that feels uncomfortable or restricted, she considers the whole person: how they move, how they train and the demands of their sport, work and daily life.
At Stoke, Amy works with youth athletes, competitive athletes and active adults. Her ability to connect osteopathic care with practical movement and training strategies makes her an important bridge between recovery and performance. Her care is thoughtful, collaborative and tailored to each client’s goals.
Amy’s own athletic background gives her firsthand insight into the demands of training and competition.
She captained the University of Manitoba Bisons hockey team, won a Canada West championship and earned U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian recognition. She continues to compete in ball hockey at an elite level.
